The floats come from the server seed, your client seed and the nonce, and the server seed is committed before the round. After the round you can enter those values on the provably-fair page, recompute the mine positions and compare them with the board. That verifies the layout was not altered; it says nothing about whether the multiplier favours you.
The "1 mine" method and the Martingale: what the guide lists and what they cannot do
Stake's guide describes a "1:1 method" of setting one mine and auto-betting, and says the odds "slowly tilt in your favour"; it also describes the Martingale.
